AmEx reveals two new cards with cash back offers

[Friday, May 13th, 2011]

At a time when banks are willing to bend over backwards to bring in new customers, American Express is also not willing to be left far behind in the race. To keep pace with its competitors in the country, the bank has come up with two new credit cards that have cash back deals that are tough to match by the others. The good news for consumers is that there is no minimum spending limit set for consumers to claim their rewards on the card.

The American Express Blue Cash Preferred and Blue Cash Everyday are the two cards that are in the spotlight now. The cards, due to be available from the first week of May have some lucrative deals, in addition to cash back rewards.

The American Express Blue Cash Everyday credit card does not have any annual associated with it. This card offers 3 percent cash back on purchases made at supermarkets. Using this card at various departmental stores and gas stations will entitled card holders to a 2 percent cash back. Using this card anywhere else will result in 1 percent cash back for card holders. If you refer your friend to avail this card, you will be awarded with a $25 bonus.

The AmEx Blue Cash Preferred credit card carries an annual fee of $75. Card holders are entitled to 6 percent cash back when they use it at supermarkets and 3 percent cash back when they use the card at departmental stores and gas stations. There is a welcome bonus of $100 and a referral bonus of $75 when you refer a friend.
